<VV> 140 HP engine

Im hoping you guys can answer a couple engine spec questions for me. I have
gone through the manual could not find the answer I was looking for.

              On the camshaft, the washer that goes between the camshaft and
cam gear. Should it be tight between the two or should it spin freely?

Second question. On a recent rebore with cast pistons, it looks like I have
a little more than .003 clearance, .003 seems a little loose but .004 gets
tight.

The book says .0022 to .003 for the old original pistons.   Thanks for any
help.
