Some other things to look at are whether or not the throttle is really going to wide open when the pedal is to the floor, whether or not the choke is all the
off when the engine is warm and whether or not the damn gauge is working- particularly the gauge! I drove a 1966 Corsa with 32000 miles on it and although
I could feel the boost when matting it up a hill, the gauge didnt indicate any boost... that was why the owner of the car wanted me to drive it because he wasnt
sure if it was boosting or not!
