Hi Steven,

I'll make one comment regarding electric fuel pump installs.  When Chevy designed the fuel system, they used a minimum amount of rubber hose - just two short lengths to connect the body hard line to the tank and engine.  They are essentially couplers.  I suggest that however you install your pump that you do the same, I've seen a number of installations with what I consider far too much rubber hose.  If you're over say six inches of line, consider making a hard line or routing the line differently, it's not that difficult and you only need to do it once.
