For those of you who know Jerry McKenzie, this update is being posted on his behalf by his wife (and fellow CORSA member) Thelma.
For some time, his physical and mental capabilities had shown signs of deterioration. Last August we moved into an assisted living facility. Unfortunately, he did not acclimate well; his mental capabilities took a decided turn for the worse. In January, he moved into the memory care section of the facility.
There are still times when he recalls the many friends we met during CORSA events (weekends and conventions) and the help he received from and, in turn, provided to others and Virtual Vairs. As we begin this next chapter in our lives, we are thankful for all the good times we’ve enjoyed with other Corvair enthusiasts.
