I happened to just file my ch. 190 Phila club chapter report this week before reading your email. Harry Jensen helped me with my password issue. I had changed my IP and the change password option didn't work. After Harry helped it went smooth as butter. This may be an issue for some of the clubs. This process for adding a member when they are already a Corsa member is great. The system takes you to the Corsa Roster, lets you check to see if your new member is a Corsa member. If so,one click and they are added. If not, you have to manually add. I must have deleted 10 members and added 10 new ones in a 1/2 hour. Nice system. The payment is easy too with a credit card. I had set up our club with a credit card so when we need to buy food for meetings/parties we don't have to deal with cash anymore. It's a matter of just putting in your card number and your chapter report is filed and paid.

*	No I don't have any issue with the small $20 filing fee. Since Corsa has a short fall, maybe this could be raised to $30 for clubs with non Corsa members. Maybe $15 for clubs with all Corsa members ? I realize it wont pay the debt but it would help. Again if clubs get a credit card, that will make this process easy to deal with other wise they would have to mail a check.
* I think its good to file the chapter report. Communication is essential. CORSA should know what members are in the local clubs, the contact people by positions etc. Regarding contact people - when local yearly elections are held, new officers come in, yes things change. I would send a chapter report reminder out (thru the Communiqué). If the report isn't filed on time go to you go to the back up contact. You should have a back up name/email /postal address information for the editor next, VP, treasurer etc. We could work around the chain of officers. Chances are in my experience there is only one new person or so elected a year so someone will get the message. In the past you were dropped of the list of clubs if you did not file. Maybe if you highlighted the past due clubs in red we would get the message ??
*	Postal address may be needed if the contacts of the club dont have email or dont reply. The courtesy of a post card would be nice and relatively inexpensive.
*	List of Corsa members is not needed. The process for adding club members tells you if they are a member or not. If you want to buy a Corsa roster they are are available!

Hope this answers some of your concerns Tim.

I was just thinking it would be a great way to donate to Corsa/ racing fund through credit card on the website. I don't remember if there was an option for that and we plan on donating $250.00 in January.

Subject: <CORSA Chapters> Chapter Reports -- Qs / Poll

Merry Christmas everyone. It looks like I will have a white Christmas just
not snow, ice. My yard is white -- some snow beneath all the new ice on top. It should be gone by the weekend. Hopefully.

At the CORSA finance committee, it was noted that few chapters have filed the their Chapter report. We are trying to do this online versus the old paper format, so I am guessing numerous problems exist. Need help identifying those problems so they can be fixed. (I say that frequently at work, I can't fix something if I don't know its broke or what is broke) I know Clark Hartzel has mentioned that deleting old members, from a large chapter, was far more work then it should be. Harry made a correction there.

Chapter Report filing went on hiatus for 2006 and 2007. For 2008, A new all electronic filing was created.

Did chapter's simply forget to update their reports?
Is the process to cumbersome?
Did the chapter contact change or still unknown?

We used this list and the Communiqué to ask for filings. We may have emailed a note to the Chapter contact person.
Problems /Questions/and ??-- since it has been a few years since we last updated the chapter info,
     is the contact person correct?
is the person's email address correct
Should we have also sent a reminder to the chapter postal address?
Should the mailing include a list of members on record with CORSA?

We want the chapter contact to update the membership records for their chapter (more on that in another note)
Are their ways we could make the update easier?

Should CORSA eliminate the "filing fee"?
Should CORSA eliminate the chapter report altogether ?
If yes, How will the chapter information be (insured to be) kept up to date?

Dang, as I was slowing waking up this morning, I had all kinds of good questions to ask, or at least I thought they were good questions in my drowsy state of mind.......

Any and all responses appreciated. on this list or directly to me at
flat6vair at comcast.net It is the holidays, so like you, I expect to be
spending lots of time with family .

thanks
