Hello all: I need to apologize to all of you, when I started reading Tim's
post and
then the replies I added my two cents worth talking about what "I" thought.
Let
me start over please and write about the club instead of myself. ROCKY
MOUNTAIN CORSA is a 100% club and has been since the first time this
'mandatory membership' got started. RMC continued the 'belong to local,
belong to national' concept to present times.

I frankly don't recall anyone who came to a meeting and when they were told
they had to belong to both organizations that walked out, they always joined
both clubs. Yes we struggle like all of you trying to enlist new members
but
the reason we can't recruit tons of fresh faces isn't because of the 100%
rule.

I also belong to PPCC and the mandatory rules was started a number of
years ago with anyone already a PPCC member and not wanting to join CORSA
was grandfathered in. Since then every prospective attendee of a PPCC
meeting has joined to the best of my knowledge, both CORSA and PPCC. I
did just think of one who chose to join RMC instead because he lived between
the two towns but he still joined both.

I know of other car clubs who have the same rules of parent club/local club
membership and they flourish well. CORSA isn't even the most expensive
club to belong to either.

Again, sorry that I got into personal opinions in the beginning of this but
please
remember that all of us on this list all have our best interests in CORSA at
heart, if we didn't we wouldn't be writing all of this.

Best wishes to all, Steve
