The NFCC has already discussed this issue.
We are below 50% as far as I can tell regarding CORSA membership.
We would lean to separating ourselves from CORSA and increasing our local
dues to cover our own insurance. Not as expensive as you may think, as long
as you do not have any moving events. Which we probably will never do
anyways.

It has not come up to a vote yet, though those who are CORSA members
currently, are not strong supporters of the issue. Seeing as our chapter is
comprised of under 40 people, meetings are usually attended by 10 or less
members.

We have a former local of the Antique Truck Historical Society llocally,
that has recently separated from their national organization over various
issues. Not that hard for them to go it alone either. It is not always the
case for everyone to "fall in line" so to speak. There will be chapters who
will go it alone, possibly dissolve.

Time will tell.
