<CORSA Chapters> Donna Mae Mimms Award

All, Just a short note to clarify the DMM award. Bob Dunahugh has been promoting this award for several years now. The award will celebrate Donna's accomplishments as a competitive Corvair driver, and give an added bonus to those men or women placing first in IS-1,2,3, and 5 and the ladies classes. It is not meant to diminish the importance of the Don Yenko Award, just enhance the benefits of placing first in the aforementioned classes. The award will be a Pink metal appliqué, 1/2" X 2" with the words "Donna Mae Mimms Award", added to the trophy, or plaque, or whatever the first place award is. It can be removed if the person so wishes to. A petition was circulated at the 2007 performance workshop and 50 or so signatures were collected in support of the award. The motion also has the support of the Competition chair and his committee. It will be of no extra cost to CORSA for several years as Bob Dunahugh and another AutoX participant has generously agreed to purchase 100 of the appliqués. It will require a change in the AutoX rules book. It has been determined that all present AutoX rules books are gone so a reprint is eminent. This will be the best time to change any verbiage to the rule book. As all AutoX participants know a copy of the rule book is provided in the welcome packet at each CORSA International Convention for AutoX participants or can be found on the CORSA website. Thanks
