There are already awards for first place in these classes presented at the banquet, no awards are being added to the banquet. This motion just names those first place awards.

 still stand by Donna Mae was a female and no pink stickers should go on a 
guys" award regardless of what class.
s we all know we are trying to save time at banquets and we have so many awards 
ow, we can't justify adding another award in.  There are many more who have 
assed on ( I know...this was started when she was still alive)  long before 
onna Mae that deserve an award and we aren't giving an award out for those.

All, Just a short note to clarify the DMM award. Bob Dunahugh has been promoting 
his award for several years now. The award will celebrate Donna's 
ccomplishments as a competitive Corvair driver, and give an added bonus to 
hose men or women placing first in IS-1,2,3, and 5 and the ladies classes. It 
s not meant to diminish the importance of the Don Yenko Award, just enhance the 
enefits of placing first in the aforementioned classes. The award will be a 
ink metal appliqué, 1/2" X 2" with the words "Donna Mae Mimms Award", added to 
he trophy, or plaque, or whatever the first place award is. It can be removed 
f the person so wishes to. A petition was circulated at the 2007 performance 
orkshop and 50 or so signatures were collected in support of the award. The 
otion also has the support of the Competition chair and his committee. It will 
e of no extra cost to CORSA for several years as Bob Dunahugh and another AutoX 
articipant has generously agreed to purchase 100 of the appliqués. It will 
equire a change in the AutoX rules book. It has been determined that all 
resent AutoX rules books are gone so a reprint is eminent. This will be the 
est time to change any verbiage to the rule book. As all AutoX participants 
now a copy of the rule book is provided in the welcome packet at each CORSA 
nternational Convention for AutoX participants or can be found on the CORSA 
ebsite. Thanks
