Not an expert by any stretch of the imagination... but I would say that if
there is no rust, fix it. A body shop has pullers that will remove most of
the offending dent, some outstanding body shops have high speed disk
machines that can be used to heat high spots then slap a cold wet cloth on
the panel and shrink the metal. A good operator can return a nasty panel to
good as new with little or no bondo....!
