[FC] Blower belt

Hello all, Now its my turn to have blower belt flip offs.
I have a 63 FC and Yes I know about changing to the later mag fan. But before I change it out,  Im trying the"skinny belt". It seems to stay on much better but I noticed that it flips over when the engine runs. So part of the belt is on sideways. I would think that this is "bad". Should I stop clowning around and get the mag fan with a 3/8" belt?
