[FC] Drum and Backing Plate Contact

It is my guess that the wheel bearing is not setting correctly or something
isn't properly aligned. There is a slight amount of movement of the brake
drum when the rear control arm moves up and down. GM designed it this way. I
would look for a brake backing plate alignment problem first and then remove
the axle if you don't find anything there and check the bearing. Many times
things look good until you remove them and inspect closely. Paul in CT.

The left rear drum on my 64 GB scrapes along the top six inches of the
backing plate.

Last Fall the rear brakes were replaced.
A few days ago the front (2) transmission mounts, rear coils and shocks were
replaced.

The scraping really hasn't changed due to the replacement parts. However,
the scraping has been getting worse over time.

I am wondering if the wheel bearing is getting sloppy (even though it feels
okay to me).

  Any other suggestions?

  Thanks in advance.
