[FC] emblems

guys
I have the original rectangular "chevrolet 95" emblems from the front doors of my Rampside, but they are pitted badly and dark and discolored. My thought was to have them re- plated but the shop says that this will still allow the pits to show, the plating doesn't fill in low spots. Is there a way to fill the pits and then smooth them before re-plating?
