And, specifically, a combination of fast idle and choke  rod adjustment. My 
wife uses her PG & airconditioned Greenbrier daily;  accordingly, because she 
is not particularly adept at the ol' "toe tap the  throttle routine," when 
placing in gear, I've had to be especially precise with  the carb adjustments. The 
aforementioned having the most impact with ease of  cold starts. The 64 shop 
manual supplement, beginning on page 7-4, covers  the procedures 
(illustrations included) quite thoroughly. The adjustment are a  good STARTING point; some 
tweaking is necessary to account for the  condition of the particular engine. 
Tip: first, be sure the ignition is advanced  as far as possible without knock 
& ping, and the carbs are  synchronized--side to side. Good luck, and please
