[FC] ride height

??? Well, I didn't want to sound like a billboard here.
???
??? Here goes,?I just put the parts together as a kit, it is written up in the tech guide and?I didn't invent this system. The system consists of Mustang front springs, the secret is which ones, and new Monroe shocks. What happens is the Mustang springs are taller and a smaller wire diameter so when they are cut, they are cut longer than the stock springs and when installed settle more because of the smaller wire diameter and also because of the smaller wire diameter they are a softer riding?spring. Along with that you need a shock to control the spring and the stock shock is not up to the job. I use a true truck shock that is pretty stiff but you need that to control the spring bounce. In using this shock there needs to be a little modification to the lower A arm in the front like rounding out in between the mounting bolt holes so the shock will fit in.

??? That about rounds it out for info on who, what, where and why other than the recomendation for, at least, a front sway bar.

Ken,

I have read in the Corvantics archives about a kit you offer to drop the front
end. IIRC it has shocks and springs. Can you tell me and the rest of the new
comers more about it?

There is a spring mod that you can do and it is outlined in the tech guide. This
will lower the front of your truck by about 2" and then make it ride like a
Cadillac. I have had reports that at least a front sway bar is recommended after
doing this and Addco makes one.

gentlemen
I just got Rampy down off the jackstands to turn it around in my garage. I did
notice that empty, it has the dreaded backward "lean". It looks like a boat
coming up on plane. Any ideas on raising the back end a bit. I once used coil -
"helper " springs over the shocks on an old Volare back in the 80's, and am
thinking along those lines again.
