[FC] Serial #s and State Registration

 I started selling used cars and trucks back in 1969. I remember many used trucks would be registered as a year earlier than the model year.  Many states had no Titles till the mid-1970's. A state sales tax form somestimes served that purpose, but wasn't necessary. Another Greenbrier owner I know in NH recently purchased a 1963 in Phoenix. When he received the AZ Title, it stated his van was purchased for $2400 in February, 1962. The serial # starts with a '3' and is titled a 1963. I currently live in a state where titles aren't needed after 15 years. Odometer readings after 10 years.
