[FC] Repairing Fuel Pumps

First: never use RTV in a fuel system: RTV is soluble in gasoline. The
stuff swells into gelatinous blobs which then plug everything up.

Second, if it's leaking from around the 'sandwich' of parts, you can
snug the screws down to stop it. This is common with pumps that are
used infrequently and dry out between use cycles. This sounds like what
might be happening in your case.

If it's leaking through the diaphrams, it's basically junk.

Way back when, AC did sell a rebuild kit, but since the diaphragms are
riveted to the pushrod and there's a cast aluminum disc in between, it
was nearly as expensive as a whole pump.
