i just built a new engine with a block i found last winter. it is a nos  
"replacement " block with a hand struck number on it. all new studs etc.   
fitsall casting with all the early 60 choke casting ,blank plugged holes for  
several items,  and clearance for a late crank. so far it works ok , but i  
replaced the oil pump housing with a late unit. i hope ALL oil galleys are 
fed  the same. i am having issues with the all new valve train that  i never 
had  before.  seems noisy even after double checking valve adjustment.  i  
drove it , rechecked , drove it and i am still not happy with the sounds  yet. 
 so it is now parked until i get more time to dig into it.long story  
coming later.
save all the heater delete stuff, if not all the shrouds. save door latches 
 and window regulators. save all the screws etc from doors. save the 
hardware  that limits door travel.   save  save  ...parting out is how  you learn 
how to put them together...
dang salt anyhow.
