[FC] backup lights for a rampy

I used a pair of side marker lights from a late Corvair and mounted them in the engine access door flanking the license plate of my '61 Rampy. I use a switch in the cab, but eventually I'd like to put a switch on the transmission or linkage (4-spd).

I'd like to put backup lights on our '64 Rampy. We use it as a work vehicle (not for shows) and it would be nice to have them so people know we're backing and so we can see behind us at night. Is there an elegant solution?

I've thought about the generic Chevy light kit From LMC ( http://tinyurl.com/yeqr92t ) but they "stick out" and are kind of expensive - I'm just not sure they'll look right. Anyone have any other ideas????
