[FC] FC Steering Column and Turn Signal Mechanism Differences

Folks,
Are there any differences between the '61-'63 FC and '64-'65 FC  
steering column and turn signal mechanism? Are early car turn signal  
mechanism interchangeable with the '61-'65 FC's? Turn signal  
mechanism would be the working parts inside the steering hub under  
your horn. If early cars turn signal mechanism are easier to find and  
plentiful and would work only in the '65 FC, what would I need to  
watch out for when swapping into a '63 Corvan? Would an early car  
turn signal mechanism work in the '61-'63 FC steering hub?
