i do not go without the rear bracket, slight bending in vise , rotate case to terminal up position. i think this shows on motors on the website _www.cnycorvair.com_ (http://www.cnycorvair.com) the alternator can actually vibrate a slight amount if not supported as designed. regards, Tim Colson
