Hi All-

Well, I wish I could report that Darrin and I were able to get my car
running this past weekend, but we weren't. It cranked like a champ (one
small triumph), but we don't seem to be getting a spark to the plugs. We
tried cleaning off the points with an emory board. We tried it with the
coil wire from Darrin's car. We tried messing around with the timing. No
luck. We were really missing Curt's investigative know-how in narrowing
down the problem. Anyway, I'm going to order a tune-up kit and a new set of
plug wires since mine are very old and stiff. We'll see if that helps.

Before we tried to start the car, Darrin tried to remove the distributor so
we could pre-oil the engine. Unfortunately, we couldn't remove it. We
removed the nut and the clamp as usual but the thing wouldn't budge. Any
thoughts on this? It's probably the original distributor and has probably
never been removed.

We also noticed that the left carb isn't pumping any fuel into it. I'm
going to order a couple rebuild kits.

Please let me know if anyone has any thoughts on removing the distributor.
See you this Saturday at Daniel's. Thanks.

-Mike
