Curt,
It is actually worse than that.
I sent a second message asking about the other heads and the 110 skeleton
he has lying about.. I have seriously broken with my rule that I only buy
parts that I will need immediately...or in the very near future. Wasn't
so much a rule, really. More like a good idea, now that I think about it.
A lifestyle that I was considering.
My training in hoarding happened very early in life and may not be
reversable. Fortunately, in my case, it is Corvair parts rather than
something useless like stocks and bonds or a college fund for the kids.
This acquisitiveness could have several serious negative externalities for
the club, and maybe you personally....namely, the driving up of prices for
all things Corvair in this region...and in its most dire manifestation,
my needing to move in with you folks after my wife kicks me out (with all
my parts in tow).
Maybe Daniel should recognize that I am developing a problem and refuse to
sell to me. Or he could choose to enable my delusion that every part
will some day be useful...putting his own financial gain ahead of my
wellbeing.
What will he do?
Darrin

Daniel:
Careful. Darrin is setting you up. Sure he wants it now that he knows
nobody else does and he can squeeze you for a price.

Daniel,
After thinking about it...may take the turbo head that you have. What did
you want for it?

Front Strut Rod, got it. That's what I need. Thank you, Curtis.
Actually, I think I determined why the wheel was splayed out so much: one
of the lug nuts was missing, and the corresponding stud was at six o'clock
when I parked the car.
Incidentally, after asking for a carb j-bolt, I found two!
