Please do not be concerned about Concours classification for any upcoming agenda. Tim is in tune with my agenda. He is a highly qualified judge (Unit 4) The worst job anyone should have to do. For now the Concours classification is as Tim indicated below. Carry on with other Corsa matters. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Duanne Luckow
Corsa Concours Chairman

Correct the response has been quite NEGATIVE.

It is not on the agenda nor will it be added. The issue has already been assigned to the Concours Chairperson. The recent changes to the Concours rules ALREADY included major changes to classifications. When the Concours chair presents anything new, It will be added to the agenda.

Stock class. Street Stock. Improved (modified, non stock, whatever) Hybrid (engineering -- Corvair bodied or Corvair powered but not both)

For now, case closed.

Bill -

I repeat that I have requested president Mahler to include concours classification as topic for discussion at scheduled board meeting.

I have not received positive response.

This topic will be introduced at next board meeting and I will move that a special committee chaired by a director be appointed to study all aspects of concours and report back within 90 days to board.

I expect that the committee will consider your views as well as all members of the concours committee, whomever they are, and other members in making recommendations to the board.

Although I am not well versed in details of classifications, my goal is to increase and enhance participation in councours for the benefit of CORSA as a whole. Concours is a primary purpose of conventions, and an opportunity for media promotion.

Regards,

Jack Pinard

Gentleman,

Attached is a summary of all cars entered into the two CORSA Concours Factory Stock classes since the development of the Stock Preservation Award in 1997. Although we have had some great success with recent Factory Stock Restored entries also winning the Mitchell Award, the fact remains that participation in the Factory Stock Classes remains very low. Please review this information with an eye towards answering the question of what, if anything, we can do to encourage and improve Factory Stock participation at the Concours level.

Thank you

Bill Hubbell
President, Stock Corvair Group
