[SCG] Idler Pulley Bracket Attaching Hardware Questions

Always seen pivot is a 3/8-16 bolt and the slide adjustment is a stud
with 3/8-24 threads. 1960  to 1969.

People out west used to buy 3/8-24 coupler nuts (rod coupling nuts) and
use them to replace the stock nut on the adjustment so a regular wrench
would fit.

The "double end stud" has 3/8-16 threads on the part that goes into the
oil filter/ Delcotron adapter, and 3/8-24 threads on the end that fits
through the idler slot.

Never seen stud on pivot.

Washer on pivot is normal SAE flat washer with split lock washer. Have
seen them without lock washer.

Washer on adjustment slot is more like fender washer, to cover the slot
better, then usually an SAE flat washer, split lock and the nut.

This would be the real question, fender plus flat or flat alone on
adjustment (before and after belt guard introduction), and then SAE flat
on pivot bolt after introduction of belt guard?

But do have any info on the pivot end of that bracket. Did some use a stud and some use a bolt? Also was there a flat washer and a lock on the pivot end ? How about the slotted end did it take a flat washer and a lock? Any info you may offer would be much appreciated

It uses a revised drawing of the pulley, due the addition of the belt guide, is even more vague than the earlier guides, but the text still refers to both as “adjusting nut”. However, on the same page, the Tensioning Procedure note refers to them as “Idler Pulley adjusting bolts”, so this is confusing.
