Thanks Rick.  Sorry for the tardy reply.  My wife and I are renting a house in FL and the Internet connection is wireless and intermittent.  Did you use a quick shift kit in conjunction with the billet shifter?

 used one and I have one on my race car. Its a nice piece and works well. 
owever, before that I had always used a new stock coupler which I welded up 
o be solid. Worked equally well. I didn't like the billit clamp however so, 
 used the stock one.
he aluminum piece will not wear the pin holes oblong though. Doubt you 
rive the V8 enough to do that.

Has anyone ever used a Clark's billet shift coupler (C181A) as part of the 
hift linkage in a Crown conversion?
Did it make an improvement?
