I use my wife (no, she's not available).  Actually, I have her run the floor
jack while I balance the engine and guide it into place.  We've never
dropped one.  All those fancy brackets are for weenies. ;-)

Well, I do cheat and use a small piece of plywood to keep the jack pad from
carving up the bottom of the engine.
