Same as for light bulbs there is also no battery type numbering
system. For the bulbs voltage and power (and socket type if not
clear) is specified, e.g. 12 V 21 W for turn lights, and the batteries
are identified on the shelf by voltage and capacity, and if in doubt
you lookup the car type in a conversion table to the battery brand
specific labels ...
Prices are a little bit higher, as typical with most car parts.

My wagon came over here with a new battery, I guess this is a
51 or similar, as you say, it fits right in ... very nice. And
it does not have a (for me disturbing) rim on the bottom.

Unusual batteries, like some little Honda batteries are not
commonly (=cheap) available.

BTW, today's Rampside adventure was transporting a genuine USA made
fitness tower (15 years ago used by an US GI to pay his rent) ;-)
Took a while for me to figure out why one weight has 5.5 kg,
but now I can impress with the big numbers on them (in lbs :-)
