Ok, novice mechanic question number 324.93

I am removing and replacing the flex lines on my brake
system, part of a major brake overhaul, new wheel
cylinders/shoes/ (Dual circuit conversion later).
Besides a few issues with a corvair parts supplier who
I am pretty sure will never see any of my business
agian. I ran into another interesting problem on the
front flex line, where it attaches to the solid line.
Driver side no problem removed solid line opened up
and removed the c-washer from the flex line, slide the
clip out and out came the line. On the passenger side
who ever did the job last was kind enough to leave the
opening of the c washer point toward the wheel house
sheet metal, of course then they sprayed a black
coating over everything. I got the coating off, but
cant get to the opening of the washer to remove it,
any ideas???

Thanks
