Smitty says:  Mark you is one lucky Dude.  The first engine I tore down
to overhaul had been resealed with Permagasket #2, top to bottom and
front to back.  There wasn't any such thing as gasket release agent in
those days either.  It took almost a week to clean the pushrod tubes and
the.holes in the block.
