Your talking 5 thou of wear. That's a lot. If the bushing is worn , the
dwell should be bouncy. And you should be able to feel that much slop.
Cam wear should also be visible the cam doesn't wear throughout the entire
height of the cam, so you should be able to see where the rubbing block
rides, and where it doesn't.

If the rubbing block were worn, readjusting the points would re-establish
the correct gap and dwell.
