I'll agree, if you do not know about the Lost Cause Corvair, the new
Communique will leave you scratching your head.  It's too long a story to
recount here, but the Readers' Digest version is:

Wealthy and influential guy in Kentucky decides to build a "custom
coachwork" car in 1962.  Chooses a new Corvair for the platform.  Builds a
beautiful car, but promised production never begins.  Car is lost to
history for decades.  CORSA member discovers incredibly ratty hulk.  CORSA
member restores it to a high standard.  Freshly-restored car makes its
public debut at Lexington convention, before the son of the original
builder.  Smiles all around.
