Smitty says:  Not very likely vapor lock.  Would expect fuel restriction
more likely since cars don't normally vapor lock while they are running,
and especially on the highway.  Of course if you had the return line as
GM intended it would be running cooler fuel through the lines all the
time and reduce the possibility of vapor lock if that's what is
happening.
        Never did understand why people try to out engineer the people
who worked thousands of hours making sure that what they built would
work.
