<VV> scam-no corvair

A friend is selling a nice '65 Galaxie convertible and I think he is being set
up for a scam. He has a "buyer" in England who wants to send him a cashier's
check for more money than the price of the car and shipping and have him send
some money back. I'm sure I have heard about a scam that works this way and
think I remember that one place was in this forum. I think there was some
reference to a web site which has some details about scams such as this.
anyone know where to get info on this?
