Man,

You guys led sheltered lives as kids. Here's how you do it.

1. Take car to Midas, get a lifetime guarantee muffler

2. Drive car (in this case a 67 Impala SS, 327 4 barrel, PG). Start down
long hill at 40 mph. Turn ignition off.Keep gas pedal at floor. Shift PG to
Low. after 10 seconds, turn key back to run.

3. Muffler blows up.

4. Return to Midas. Get free muffler. Repeat 1 through 4 as desired. (your
parents will become convinced that Midas mufflers suck and it's a good thing
they have a lifetime warentee)

lol. by the way, a muffler blowing up is an aferfire. Fire in the carbs is a
backfire.

Oh, yeah. A 64 Impala wagon w/283/PG and, I found out later, a broken motor
mount and cracked dist. cap. Cranked it too long, muffler fills up with gas
fumes, finally gets a spark and BOOM. The muffler wasn't rusted out, split
right along the seam.
