There are some key pieces of information missing from your post. You didn't
say what you're going to do with these resurfaced flywheels.

First off, yes, a compentent machine shop that has experience resurfacing
flywheels, can do corvair flywheels.
Second, there's a big difference between early and late flywheels, as you've
noticed, but they're NOT interchangeable.
