A couple other notes on blue dots.

A good, and low-priced source for them is Wirth's

When drilling, especially with a standard drill bit, back up right
where you are drilling with a piece of wood or you are pretty sure
of cracking the lens.  A wooden hammer handle might work.

SEMA offers sample legislation for any state car club group that
wants to get their state to legalize blue dots.  Some states have
done so already.  Remember, back in the "colorful" early '30s when
Cadillacs and Linclolns and the like had FACTORY blue dots in their
tail lenses, they were LEGAL and for those cars they are
grandfathered in every states laws.
