Hi

Sorry to take up space with a 'no Vair' post, but I thought someone on the
list might be able to help me. I have recently acquired a business
rebuilding and restoring Lotus 7s (small 60s Brit Lotuses originally sold as
a kit, and still on sale as Caterhams).

We need to source period style leather-covered aluminium steering wheels,
and the first two parts (the aluminium centre and the rim) are easy to
source - but I am having terrible trouble finding anyone to sew the cover on
the rim for me. I guess there might be people on the list who know
specialist sewing outfits (heck, there are people on the list who know most
things!), and I would be appreciative of any info received.

What I am looking for is someone to sew a very thin genuine leather or suede
cover on a 60s aluminium-style steering wheel. I can get the centres laser
cut, and the rims are easy - but the covers are proving impossible.

Vair content - if I do manage to get any done, they would look great on a
Vair and I could probably sell them for a fairly reasonable price!

Thanks for your indulgence...

Cheers

Alan
