As I recall, it would take three grown men and a boy to turn some of the
clutch head screws. I used a hand impact driver to get mine loose years
ago, but had to use a large Phillips bit which eventually broke a flute.

Does anyone know if they make an impact bit for the clutch head screws,
particularly in the size bit for the bed of the FC truck?

Item #835 - ST 8600
Clutch Head Screwdriver Set
5/32", 3/16", 1/4", and 5/16" sizes.
Price: $19.95

The description from the Web site:

All of the forties and fifties Chevy and GMC trucks have a special type
of screw/bolt called a clutch head. When you are working on
disassembling the bed of your truck you need the larger 5/16" clutch
head screwdriver. When you are working in the cab all of the dash, doors
and striker plates require clutch head screwdrivers - from 5/32" to
5/16".
