<VV> GM part numbers (no Corvair)

There is a wealth of knowledge on this list so I was wondering if you could
help me out. I have an NOS emergency brake cable with a GM part number of
1193879.
Most current GM numbers are of the 8 digit variety, while this one is 7 digit.
Does anyone have a clue as to where I can find what this is for. I have been
looking on the internet and have come up empty handed. I did suspect it may be
for a 64 Cadillac, or a newer Cadillac.
