Sorry, I did not see your request...some additional thoughts...

FIrst, for the rears, the best install I have seen was two quality 6x9's mounted in a board cut to fit the entire package area. This provided a sound chamber
and when capreted to match the rest of the rear package area, it looked completely stock to the casual observer.

I used surface mount speakers and a self-powered surface mount subwoofer... all with plugs so they could be completely removed andretrun the look to
something closer to stock.

For the fronts, the Clarks setup is decent for a low power system, but weak otherwise. (I have their setup in my Corsa). Instead (in my wife's car with a high
power system), I used two quality 6" 3-way round speakers mounted on a homemade frame that bolts to the stock speaker bracket (same theory as the
Clarks setup). Sound is decent though stereo seperation suffers. To assist here, I added piezo supertweeters at each A-pillar set up aparaleel to the fronts...
they have built-in crossovers. These are small enough to be visally acceptable and they signigicantly help with the sound stage.

In my vert I went even futther with an aftermarket amp under the passenger seat driving both the rear 6x9's (dropped into junk side panels) and Bass
Shakers (think subwoofers without speaker cones) under both the drivers and rear seats.

>Good morning everyone

>I am reporting back to the group on my request for speaker information for an LM.

>The number of responses weren't as many as I had hoped for but the consensus is::

>Get some empty speaker boxes (walmart has decent ones) and fix them up on the outside to look the way you want them, then get the best 3 way 6x9's
you can afford, put them in the rear seat well.

>As for the fronts, the consensus is "Catch as Catch can", getting some 3" tweeters and mounting under the dash as best you can fabricate.

>As for you EM folks, I was told Unca Lonald now sells nice brackets for the kick panel vents to mount speakers.

>One caveat was recieved: Someone bought the clarks dual speaker system for the LM and said it weren't near up to snuff. I know our vendors carry
excellent repro parts, but I also figure that just like banks are in the banking business , not the printing business (so their checks cost more), so if you are an
audiophile, best to go to the loud ass stereo place and do your speaker shopping there. No shot at any vendor intended.
