If you purchased the "complete" pitman bushing with a steel shell, my
preference is to remove the relay rod(drag link) from the car and press out
the old bushing and press in the new one.  If you purchased the nylon
replacement bushing, you can simply remove the old rubber and press in the
new nylon one while working under the car.  This assumes that your steel
shell and bolt are in good condition.
Dust caps for the ball joints are available from Clarks and probably other
suppliers and can be replaced when  the ball joints are separated from the
A-Arms.
