Chris, if the alternator is over-charging AND you gen/fan stays on, chances 
are your voltage regulator is not grounded and therefore not doing its 
job.  There should be a small wire that grounds the case of the regulator 
to the body.  The isolated rubber mounts do NOT ground the case.
