Well, for starters, priority mail is almost meaningless unless you only
want speed. For sending a check you may want to have delivery confirmation.
and/or return receipt requested. Tracking is not automatic with priority
mail, it is extra..........been there done that.
All of this is on the USPS website, check it out.

I would not send another check without cancelling the other check first,
assuming it was lost. This will incur a stop payment fee.
I screwed up on an e-bay payment not too long ago, left out one digit on a
house address, 5 digit address, I only had four. Address had 3 sevens, I
only wrote 2. Check returned to me as not at this address, though street
city and zip were correct. Took 2 weeks to get it back.
I also screwed up on a package one time where I transposed 2 letters of the
zip........it came back, caused a delay.
Sometimes it happens.......

If you have good feedback on e-bay, maybe the seller will be patient while
the post office takes it's time delivering.

Subject: <VV> 1965 Greenbrier ...Priority Mail Help
Does anyone on the list work for or have any inside knowledge of Priority
Mail...I purchased a 65 Greenbrier on E-bay two weeks ago. The owner
asked me
to send a Bank Check to him for the Van via Priority Mail...As requested,
I
sent the check from Pittsburgh, PA to Michigan on Tuesday March 29th...to
date, the check has not been received and although the Postal Employees try
to be
helpful...it has not surfaced. The Bank states the check has not been
cashed. Any help would be appreciated. Charlie
