Impedance is resistance some of the time, but resistance is always
resistance. (g)

Just be sure to do a ball park guess at the power the "resistor" is going to
soak up, and be sure to get a resistor ( or set of resistors ) rated at
enough power handling to not blow up and maybe even start a fire .

....or worse, blow out just at the same time ol' Bob Seger really gets into
it ....
