This is something that I never understand....not having ONE  Corvair to drive 
 ALWAYS!

In  1999 when I purchased my 1 st car in 17 yrs...I  spent just 3 weekends 
until I could drive it....11 weekends total until it was done...

My next cars took  22 months...6 months [ was a driver when I got it]

I currently have one car "with me"  in NorCal...and I carry the required 
spares to keep it on the road :  head /starter snout / fanbelt / carb ..but no 
fuel pump...it's electric!
