<VV> Tire Question

I recently purchased a "parts" car that had a set of nearly new tires on 
it.  I had them inspected, remounted (white walls out), and balanced by 
the local Cooper dealer (the tires are Cooper).  The tire shop put a 
note on the work order that says "wheels and tires are out of round.  
Will vibrate".   They are correct -- there is a vibration.  I have made 
the leap to conclude that sitting for a couple of years without moving 
caused the "out of round" condition.  My question is - will driving the 
car eliminate the out of round condition?  My options are to have the 
tires "shaved" to make them round again, or toss them and go back to my 
mag wheels and tires, or ?????       Thoughts from the gurus would be 
welcomed.
