Sounds like a candidate for the SERVICE!! Talk to a recruiter in all the
services....lots of good training on machines..college credits to boot! Plus all
the other good things...$$$ medical..housing...3 hots and a cot! Not
everyone goes to Iraq!!

You're "back home" not in the Twin Cities.....not much opportunity IMO

I was a foster child.......worked in a meat packing plant / carlot / HotRod
shop / Zoo...got drafted during the Viet Nam era and went to
Germany!.........loved working on MY cars....but not others unless it payed REAL well [
Hotrods / customs didn't cost more than houses!] ....I ended up in a manufacturing
company......started in the paint shop [ sander / masker ] but made good
overtime $$$ health ins. VACATION and a retirement program....Now I had the $$
and some time to do what I liked.....watched for opportunities and went after
them.....Electrical assembler......finished product tester...power
generation.....and now field maintenance...no special schooling....ALL for the same
Company........even though I retired twice!! [ quit]

This gave me time to persue sideline businesses.....and find I didn't really
find FULL satisfaction in any of them.....just independence and $$$..but
with a price!

So...look around for a "substantial" employer....doing something
mechanical.....and BASE from there....It will open many doors of opportunity and keep
you in the $$ while you make up your mind! note:...U S government is the
most substantial! ggggg

I'm out west..where the Cost of doing business is so high, that to be
successful / profitable...you need a "Base" and your sideline business that is in
demand! Only a handful ever, are soooooo sucessful that they remain viable for
more than a few years...and you don't build a future by changing jobs /
business every few years. IMO
