Short answer:

If you can find 15x7 wheels with 4.5 inches of backspace, they should 
work really well.  I'd suggest a 205/60-15 tire to go on them.  
However, many of the aftermarket wheels are only available with 4" BS, 
so you may need to do a bit of trimming.  Regarding the hub size, I 
don't know, but there are plenty of Corvairs out there without 
hub-centric wheels, and it works just fine.
