<VV> Corvair Baby lyrics

This is driving me nuts.  Who knows what these hippies are singing on the first line of "Corvair Baby" by Paul Revere and the Raiders (http://www.edselmotors.com/daretocorvair.html)?

It sounds like "I got a girl ..blah blah blah blah .. the most".  I've checked the usually reliable internet and the lyrics I've found are WAY wrong.

What the heck is he saying?  Help!!!!

They must have been drinking ethanol! ;)
